Messaggio dal Fronte dei lavoratori dell’Ucraina
alla manifestazione di Roma del 3 dicembre
Cari compagni italiani,
Noi, l’organizzazione marxista-leninista Fronte dei lavoratori dell’Ucraina, scriviamo questa lettera ai lavoratori e ai comunisti italiani in relazione alla difficile situazione – la guerra imperialista. Da quasi un anno, lavoratori ucraini e lavoratori russi si uccidono tra di loro per i profitti degli oligarchi che la restaurazione del capitalismo ha generato. Questa situazione [di guerra] è usata dai vertici per rafforzare l’apparato repressivo e introdurre leggi antioperaie neoliberiste, attribuendo la causa di tutto al “tempo di guerra”. Tuttavia, la guerra non ha colpito solo i popoli slavi orientali, che un tempo avevano partecipato alla Rivoluzione d’Ottobre e combattuto fianco a fianco contro il giogo fascista. In Europa si fa sentire la pressione delle sanzioni, che molti di voi forse avranno già provato di persona. Mentre la Russia vuole realizzare con mezzi militari una redistribuzione delle sfere di influenza, gli imperialisti occidentali non solo non vogliono perdere la loro influenza in Ucraina, ma riescono anche ad ottenere il massimo profitto dalla fornitura di armi. La guerra apre nuovi mercati alla borghesia. Se vince il governo ucraino, gli imperialisti occidentali rafforzeranno la loro posizione nel nostro paese; se vince il governo russo, la Russia otterrà nuovi mercati. E ad ogni semplice lavoratore toccherà tollerare ogni umiliazione e sanzione. Non importa chi sia: ucraino, russo o italiano. Non per niente la moglie del nostro presidente, Elena Zelenskaya, ha affermato che gli ucraini sono pronti a stare senza luce e riscaldamento per due o anche tre anni. Indipendentemente dall’esito degli eventi, la classe dirigente borghese riceverà il massimo beneficio, mentre la classe operaia di tutti i paesi sentirà ancora di più il peso dell’alienazione e dello sfruttamento. Ancora di più i proletari inizieranno a sentire la disuguaglianza sulla propria pelle, e chiunque non sia d’accordo verrà represso con la forza.
Questo ci dimostra ancora una volta che i lavoratori dei diversi paesi hanno molte più cose in comune tra loro che con i capitalisti loro connazionali.
Ecco perché è molto importante lottare contro l’escalation dei conflitti da tutti i fronti di questi conflitti. I comunisti europei devono lottare contro l’introduzione delle truppe della NATO e la fornitura di armi, mentre allo stesso tempo i comunisti russi devono combattere contro la mobilitazione delle persone al fronte, sviluppare sentimenti contro la guerra, e noi comunisti ucraini dobbiamo sviluppare la coscienza di classe tra le masse. La fornitura di armi, l’introduzione delle truppe NATO porteranno solo a ulteriori spargimenti di sangue e al rafforzamento del blocco imperialista. La crisi si svilupperà ancora di più. I lavoratori ucraini, russi ed europei si annegheranno a vicenda nel sangue, e ancora più saranno le madri che non potranno aspettare il ritorno dei loro figli da una guerra che non porterà nulla di buono. Con il rafforzamento degli imperialisti le guerre non finiranno. Il capitale ha necessità di incrementarsi, e i paesi imperialisti sono sempre pronti a commettere qualsiasi crimine che porti un profitto del 300%, giusto? Questo darà solo inizio alle prossime guerre. Tuttavia, c’è una chiave per mettere fine a questo ciclo [di guerra e di sfruttamento]: il socialismo, in cui ogni essere umano è fratello dell’altro essere umano. Apprezziamo molto il fatto che i compagni italiani comprendano il significato di questo conflitto e quanto sia importante l’unità internazionale dei lavoratori. Comunisti italiani, attivisti sindacali, lavoratori e studenti marxisti, vi auguriamo pazienza e determinazione nella lotta contro i neofascisti recentemente saliti al potere. Distinguete chiaramente tra i socialsciovinisti che sosterranno sempre il proprio governo o quello di qualcun altro stato, per un dubbio guadagno, tradendo gli interessi dei lavoratori. L’importanza della lotta contro il socialsciovinismo è la chiave del successo del movimento rivoluzionario. È necessario spiegare agli operai perché i socialsciovinisti sono i nemici degli operai. È anche importante spiegare ai lavoratori che i neofascisti non sono loro amici.
I fascisti amano molto lanciare slogan populisti di sinistra, guadagnando così il sostegno della gente. È così che ci raggiravano i nostri estremisti di destra, e agiscono nello stesso modo anche i vostri. L’intervista della Meloni è stata molto rivelatrice, quando si è detta molto preoccupata del fatto che il colonialismo francese esista ancora, ignorando la presenza delle multinazionali italiane nei paesi della periferia. La nostra vecchia generazione di sinistra, che esisteva prima del 2013-2014, non è riuscita a far fronte a questo compito. Molti hanno apertamente sostenuto il LDPR o il colpo di stato di Maidan, molti hanno sottovalutato le forze di estrema destra a causa della loro marginalità. Tuttavia, abbiamo la possibilità di sistemare tutto, proprio come gli italiani hanno una grande possibilità di rafforzare il movimento comunista.
In conclusione, vorrei richiamare una citazione classica che non perderà mai la sua rilevanza finché i lavoratori lottano contro questo sistema di sfruttamento: “Lavoratori di tutti i paesi, unitevi”.

We, the Marxist-Leninist organization – the Workers` Front of Ukraine, are writing a letter to the Italian workers and communists in connection with the difficult situation – the imperialist war. For almost a year, Ukrainian and Russian workers have been killing each other for the profits of the oligarchs that the restoration of capitalism has spawned. This is used by the top, which strengthen the repressive apparatus and introduce neo-liberal anti-worker laws, attributing everything to “wartime”. However, the war affected not only the Eastern Slavic peoples, who had once participated in the October Revolution and fought side by side against the fascist yoke. In Europe, the pressure of sanctions is being felt, which many of you may already have felt for yourself.
While Russia wants to redistribute influence militarily, the Western imperialists not only do not want to lose their influence in Ukraine, but also manage to get the maximum profit from the supply of weapons. War opens up new markets for the bourgeoisie. If the Ukrainian government wins, the Western imperialists will only strengthen their position in our country, and if the Russian government wins, Russia will get new markets. And as for a simple worker, he will tolerate any humiliation and sanctions. It doesn’t matter who it is: Ukrainian, Russian or Italian. It’s not for nothing that our president’s wife, Elena Zelenskaya, said that Ukrainians are ready to sit without light and heat for at least two or even three years. Regardless of the outcome of events, the ruling class of the bourgeoisie will receive the maximum benefit, at the same time that the working class from all countries will only feel the burden of alienation and exploitation even more. Even more will begin to feel inequality in their own skin, and anyone who disagrees will be shut down by force. This once again proves to us that the workers of different countries have much more in common with each other than with their countrymen – the capitalists. That is why it is very important to fight against the escalation of conflicts from all sides. The European communists must fight against the introduction of NATO troops and the supply of weapons, while at the same time, the Russian communists must fight against the mobilization of people to the front, develop anti-war sentiments, and Ukrainian, that is, we develop class consciousness among the masses. The supply of weapons, the introduction of NATO troops will only lead to more bloodshed and the strengthening of the imperialist bloc. The crisis will develop even more. Ukrainian, Russian and European workers will drown each other in blood, even more mothers will not wait for their sons from a war that will not bring anything good.
With the strengthening of the imperialists, the wars will not end. Capital needs to increase, and the imperialist countries are always ready to commit any crime that will bring 300% profit, right? This will only start the next wars. However, there is a key to resolving this cycle – socialism, where man is a brother to man.
We highly welcome the fact that the Italian comrades understand the significance of this conflict and how important the international unity of workers is. Italian communists, trade union activists, workers and Marxist students, we wish you patience and determination in the struggle against the neo-fascists who have recently come to power. Distinguish clearly between social chauvinists who will always support their own or someone else’s government, for dubious gain, betraying the interests of the workers. The importance of the struggle against social-chauvinism is the key to the success of the revolutionary movement. It is necessary to explain to the workers why the social-chauvinists are the enemies of the workers. It is also important to explain to workers that neo-fascists are not friends.
Fascists are very fond of throwing left-populist slogans, thereby gaining support among the people. This is how our ultra-rightists used to leave us, and so do yours. Meloni’s interview was very revealing, when she became very worried about why French colonialism still exists, ignoring the presence of Italian transnational corporations in the countries of the periphery. Our old generation of leftists, which existed before 2013-2014, failed to cope with this task. Many openly supported the LDPR or the Coup on the Maidan, many underestimated the ultra-right forces because of their marginality. However, we have a chance to fix everything, just like the Italians have a great chance to strengthen the communist movement.
In conclusion, I would like to say one classic quote that will never lose its relevance as long as the workers fight against the exploitative system: “Workers of all countries unite.”
