Sull’attentato di Mosca e dintorni.
La via obbligata di Nato e UE è portare la guerra in Russia

Non c’è molto da interpretare. Seguendo una prassi sorprendente, quanto mai esplicita, la CIA l’aveva preannunciato: ci saranno attentati a Mosca o a san Pietroburgo in luoghi affollati, forse in concerti. E ha dimostrato una tale “preveggenza” che viene spontaneo dire: sono stati di parola! Altrettanto singolare la prassi di scagionare immediatamente i loro seguaci di Kiev, come a ribadire: siamo stati noi. E siamo, o saremmo, in grado di rifarlo, o comunque potrebbero farlo, o rifarlo, dei nostri amici. Messaggi senza dubbio obliqui, complessi, che si prestano a più letture. Ma la riesumazione a Mosca della salma dell’Isis, letteralmente fatto a pezzi anni fa con 36.000 missioni di bombardamento su Mosul, è poco convincente. E quand’anche fosse vero che gli esecutori materiali del massacro del Crocus City Hall siano stati reclutati tra i frammenti di quella formazione, e può essere, è poco credibile che abbiano potuto colpire in Russia (addirittura a Mosca!) senza aiuti, protezioni e complicità di ambito NATO-Ucraina.
Del resto, l’attentato di Mosca non arriva da solo. Proprio ieri la città di Sebastopoli, in Crimea, che è oggi parte integrante della Russia, è stata bersagliata per un paio di ore da almeno dieci razzi Storm Shadow di produzione britannica, con danni ingenti secondo gli stessi russi. E soprattutto, benché se ne parli poco, nelle ultime settimane 13 raffinerie di petrolio situate in nove regioni della Federazione russa sono state sotto attacco di droni e missili ucraini con danni seri che sono stimati intorno al 14% della loro capacità totale di raffinazione e al 17% del greggio processato nel 2023. Per il timore di pesanti ripercussioni internazionali sul prezzo del greggio, sembra che da Washington qualcuno abbia esortato Kiev a non continuare su questa strada – ma l’ex-comandante dell’esercito yankee Hodges ha definito questa esortazione un’idiozia perché “gli attacchi alle infrastrutture hanno un impatto significativo” e, semmai, si tratta al più presto di realizzare “il sabotaggio di industrie e ferrovie”.
Il fatto è che, persa la guerra in Donbass, e temendo nuovi sfondamenti delle truppe russe in primavera, questa è, per la NATO e l’Ucraina, la via obbligata per provare a mettere in difficoltà Mosca. Per far pagare a Putin e ai suoi prezzi crescenti almeno in termini di insicurezza diffusa. E per provocarli a compiere azioni (attacchi contro le città dell’Ucraina, anzitutto, e/o contro singoli membri del governo ucraino) tali da poter essere spacciati al pubblico europeo, ancora poco propenso ad arruolarsi in prima persona, come un’escalation del “nemico” a cui è “assolutamente necessario” rispondere con altri e più duri colpi. Non solo militari.
Rientra in questa dinamica di intensificazione ed estensione della guerra tra NATO e Russia la furiosa pressione degli Stati Uniti per appropriarsi delle ingentissime masse di capitali russi depositati in banche occidentali, a cominciare da interessi e profitti maturati. E la corsa al riarmo accelerato dell’UE e dei singoli stati euro-occidentali, una corsa che è, se si vuole, ancora un po’ sgangherata e affannosa, ma è reale – ed è questo l’aspetto decisivo! Ne abbiamo già parlato in precedenti post, e ci pare inutile ritornarci.
Ci interessa, invece, ribattere due chiodi.
Primo: è urgente, sempre più urgente, rilanciare tra i lavoratori e la massa dei giovani senza privilegi, studenti o meno che siano, la denuncia e l’iniziativa di massa contro l’espansione territoriale e l’intensificazione della guerra tra NATO e Russia sul territorio europeo. E farlo sulla sola linea che corrisponde agli interessi degli sfruttati: il disfattismo rivoluzionario, qui e nell’UE contro la NATO, la coalizione guerrafondaia più potente e pericolosa del mondo, in Russia contro l’amministrazione Putin che, in nome della “grande Russia” eterna e di un fasullo anti-nazismo, persegue obiettivi di sfruttamento e di oppressione in tutto e per tutto capitalistici.
Secondo: siamo già alla bancarotta delle ipotesi campiste che prevedevano come effetto della “operazione militare speciale” russa in Ucraina la nascita dalle acque fresche e pure della guerra di un mondo multipolare, equilibrato, giusto e finalmente pacifico. Ora vediamo strateghi e tattici di questa area grattarsi la pera, e sperare, piuttosto impauriti, che non sia già tutto “fuori controllo”, che la Russia si dimostri saggia, e via dicendo. Ma, teste di legno, credete davvero che possa avvenire pacificamente una rispartizione del mercato mondiale quale è quella in corso? Nulla vi ha insegnato la storia del capitalismo?
Per quanto ci riguarda, rivendichiamo di aver sostenuto, al contrario, dal primo istante che la guerra in Ucraina costituiva, e costituisce, “un punto di non ritorno delle contraddizioni inter-capitalistiche alla scala mondiale da un piano economico-commerciale ad uno strategico-militare”. Indietro non si torna. E, senza ovviamente poter indicare ora i ritmi di questo cammino, è certo che non esiste alcun punto in cui questa spirale bellicista di un sistema capitalistico globale più che mai avvinto nelle sue irreversibili contraddizioni esplosive, si fermerà per un soprassalto di saggezza. Basta guardare alle manovre e contro-manovre intorno a Taiwan. O in Africa occidentale. O a Gaza: il genocidio in corso a Gaza esprime la pretesa dello stato sionista e dei suoi protettori statunitensi ed europei di conquistare una nuova fetta del mercato mondiale calpestando ancora una volta la vita di milioni di palestinesi.
C’è una sola forza che può fermare questa catastrofica deriva verso una nuova carneficina mondiale: è la forza dell’esercito degli sfruttati e degli oppressi alla scala mondiale, che opponga, organizzato, alle potenze capitalistiche e imperialistiche a scontro la sua guerra di classe alle guerre del capitale. Nel movimento internazionale di condanna di Israele e di sostegno alla resistenza palestinese e alla richiesta di un immediato cessate il fuoco c’è un embrione vivo di questa prospettiva. Ma bisognerà andare oltre la sacrosanta lotta contro lo stato sionista e i suoi padrini. Bisognerà abbandonare ogni illusione sui capitalismi “buoni” ed “equilibranti”, inesistenti e inesistibili. Bisognerà battersi a viso aperto contro tutte le guerre del capitale in una prospettiva anti-capitalista, internazionalista rivoluzionaria. E’ il messaggio, ancora debole e limitato, che viene dalla giornata internazionale del 24 febbraio. Diamogli forza, sempre maggiore forza ed estensione, già il prossimo primo maggio! Il tempo stringe.
On the terrorist attack in Moscow.
The obligatory path for NATO and Ukraine is to bring the war inside Russia.
There’s not much to interpret. Following a surprising, very explicit practice, the CIA had foretold it: there will be attacks in Moscow or St. Petersburg in crowded places, perhaps in concerts. And it has shown such “foresight” that it is natural to say: they have been true to their word! Equally singular is the practice of immediately exonerating their Kiev followers, as if to reiterate: it was us. And we are, or would be, able to do it again, or at least our friends could do it, or do it again. Messages that are undoubtedly oblique, complex, and lend themselves to multiple readings. But the exhumation in Moscow of the body of ISIS, literally torn to pieces years ago with 36,000 bombing missions on Mosul, is unconvincing. However, even if it were true that the material perpetrators of the Crocus City Hall massacre were recruited from among the fragments of that formation, and it may be, it is hardly credible that they could have struck inside Russia (even in Moscow!) without NATO-Ukraine aid, protection and complicity.
After all, the attack in Moscow does not come alone. Just yesterday the city of Sevastopol, in Crimea, which is now an integral part of Russia, was targeted for a couple of hours by at least ten British-made Storm Shadow rockets, with extensive damage according to the Russians themselves. And above all, although little is said about it, in recent weeks 13 oil refineries located in nine regions of the Russian Federation have been under attack by Ukrainian drones and missiles with serious damage that is estimated at around 14% of their total refining capacity and 17% of crude oil processed in 2023. Thus, fearing heavy international repercussions on the price of crude oil, it seems that someone from Washington has urged Kiev not to continue on this path – but the former commander of the Yankee army Hodges called this exhortation idiocy because “attacks on infrastructure have a significant impact” and, if anything, it is a matter of carrying out “the sabotage of industries and railways” as soon as possible.
The fact is that, having lost the war in Donbass and fearing new breakthroughs by Russian troops in the spring, this is, for Ukraine and NATO, the obligatory way to try to put Moscow in difficulty. To make Putin and his circle pay rising prices, at least in terms of widespread insecurity. And to provoke them to take actions (increasing attacks against the cities of Ukraine, first of all, and against individual members of the Ukrainian government) such that they can be passed off to the European public, still unwilling to enlist in person, as an escalation of the “enemy” to which it is “absolutely necessary” to respond with other and harder blows. Not just military.
Part of this dynamic of intensification and extension of the war between NATO and Russia is the furious pressure of the United States to appropriate the huge masses of Russian capital deposited in Western banks, starting with interest and accrued profits. And the accelerated arms race of the EU and the individual Euro-Western states, if you want still a bit ramshackle and breathless, but real – and this is the decisive aspect! We’ve already talked about it in previous posts, and it seems pointless to us to go back to it.
Instead, we are interested in hammering two nails.
Firstly, it is urgent, ever more urgent, to relaunch among the workers and the mass of young people without privileges, whether they are students or not, the denunciation and mass initiative against the territorial expansion and intensification of the war between NATO and Russia on European territory. And to do so on the only line that corresponds to the interests of the exploited: here and in the EU against NATO, the most powerful and dangerous warmongering coalition in the world; in Russia against the Putin administration which, in the name of the eternal “greater Russia” and a phony anti-Nazism, pursues completely capitalist goals of exploitation and oppression.
Secondly, it is already bankrupt the hypotheses of the “Campist” archipelago that envisaged the effect of the Russian “special military operation” in Ukraine as the birth of a multipolar, balanced, just and finally peaceful world from the fresh and pure waters of war. Now we see strategists and tacticians in this area scratching their heads, and hoping, rather afraid, that everything is not already “out of control”, that Russia proves to be wise, and so on. But, you woodheads, do you really believe that a new partition of the world market such as is taking place now, can take place peacefully? Has the history of capitalism taught you anything?
As far as we are concerned, we claim to have maintained, on the contrary, from the very first moment that the war in Ukraine constituted, and constitutes, “a point of no return of inter-capitalist contradictions on a world scale from an economic-commercial to a strategic-military one”. There’s no going back. And, without obviously being able to indicate the rhythms of this path now, it is certain that there is no point at which this warmongering spiral of a global capitalist system, more than ever entangled in its irreversible explosive contradictions, will stop for a leap of wisdom. Just look at the manoeuvres and counter-manoeuvres around Taiwan. Or West Africa. Or in Gaza: the ongoing genocide in Gaza expresses the claim of the Zionist state and its US and European protectors to conquer a new slice of the world market by trampling once again on the lives of millions of Palestinians.
There is only one force that can stop this catastrophic drift towards a new world carnage: it is the strength of the army of the exploited and oppressed on a world scale, which opposes, organized, its war on war, its class war, against the capitalist and imperialist powers in confrontation. In the international movement to condemn Israel and support the Palestinian resistance and call for an immediate ceasefire, there is a living embryo of this perspective. But it will be necessary to go beyond the sacrosanct struggle against Israel and its godfathers. It will be necessary to abandon all illusions about “good” and “balancing” capitalisms, which are non-existent and inexistent. It will be necessary to fight openly against all the wars of capital in an anti-capitalist, internationalist, revolutionary perspective. This is the message, still weak and limited, that comes from the International Day of 24 February. Let’s give it strength, more and more strength and extension, as early as next May Day! Time is running out.
